Mark Zuckerberg’s $7M Metaverse Superbowl Commercial Flatlined!

Zuck’s Metaverse Superbowl commercial appears to have flatlined. At 70 that sort of thing does not interest me in the slightest, though today’s younger generation probably thinks VR, in general, is cool. I would think for the reportedly $7M SuperBowl ad cost, Mark could have told his metaverse story using people instead of animated cartoon characters. Real previous band members reconnecting at distance using the metaverse. In my opinion, Mark’s Superbowl ad targeted the wrong audience!

No one’s ever gotten the band back together quite like this. Quest is ready. Video credit, MetaQuest/YouTube.

I do not really intend to be a critic, but being a webmaster and blogger it’s easy to fault the YouTube meta quest 2 videos. The aspect ratio should be 16.9 to fill the container space. Not sure what it is, but notice the big black sections up top and the bottom? That’s because the aspect ratio is wrong for YouTube. And the cover image itself is 480×360. For a video with a max pixel size of 1920×1080, the cover image should be at a minimum of this max size. This explains the blurriness above. 😆

The New York Post reports: Sunday’s Super Bowl broadcast wasn’t just about football — with many viewers tuning in to simply see the TV commercials that aired in between the on-field action. NBC expected 100 million Americans to watch the event, meaning they were able to charge close to $7 million for a 30-second ad slot. More than 50 international brands forked out that astronomical sum and the companies clamored to stand out in a very crowded field. Many chose to recruit A-list celebrities in their ads to make them more memorable. T-Mobile teamed up with Dolly Parton and her goddaughter Miley Cyrus, while Squarespace savvily secured it-girl Zendaya for their prime-time promotion. But not every ad was a hit with viewers, and there was only a small selection that set social media alight. Zuck’s Metaverse Superbowl Commercial is down near the bottom of NYP’s list.

Time will tell if Zuck’s Metaverse will be the next big social media website hit, but I’m not holding my breath waiting for that day to come. What’s a reality is, Facebook was the number two when it came to the best tech I’ve ever seen, nipping on Google’s heels for first place slot. Both Google and Facebook have trashed their brands getting involved with politics. Facebook will always be Facebook no matter how it’s branded. That stench will forever follow Mark Zuckerberg for his political bias censorship! 😥

This website and its media content reflect my personal opinion. I simply call it, Florida Cracker style, t just like I see it, with no beating around the bush or sugar-coating applied. It is a large conservative political collection that contains many MAGS-related posts and many archived privately hosted videos and archived MAGA rallies.
