Joe Biden called NBC Today Show Al Roker when he was on the route during yesterday’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Tell me this was not a staged publicity stunt. I find it interesting that Joe just happened to have Al’s cell phone number. When Al answered the phone he said, look who is calling, it’s President Joe Biden. And then the camera zoomed in to show Joe on the phone. After a bit of small talk, Joe thanked Al Roker for his support, and said keep up the good work. What good work? Hyping Dr. Fauci, or blaming the shipping crisis on people buying out the stores? 🙄
President Biden gathered with relatives in Nantucket for Thanksgiving, a tradition for the family. The president spoke to all six military branches, recorded a video message to the nation and ‘surprised TODAY’s Al Roker by calling during the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade’ It’s highly doubtful it was truly a surprise call. The New York Post reported: President Biden phoned Al Roker on Thursday to land a cameo in NBC’s coverage of the 2021 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade repeating his “America is Back” mantra to the weatherman even as inflation and sky-high gas prices have made this the most expensive turkey day ever. Roker acted as though he was surprised, though the performance was unconvincing, as presidential aides typically notify journalists in advance of such calls. Roker, standing on a New York street, said on live TV, “Hold on, my phone is ringing. Just a second. Oh my gosh, look at who’s calling! Hello, hello, Mr. President?” “Hello, Al. How are you doing, pal?” said Biden, who is spending the holiday at a billionaire’s compound in Nantucket. 🙄
On the radio this morning there was talk about Al Roker and Joe, with Joe calling from a multi-million dollar mansion with his wife Jill Biden by his side. The D.J. said the scene was a lot like socialist countries where the leader appears on state-run TV from his mansion, showing off to his people struggling day-to-day trying to get by. Joe then bragged to Al Roker, America Is Back!
The green new deal here we come! 😥 All this electric vehicle hype is on the TV. Advertisements from Lincoln for electric-powered Navigators and Aviator SUVs with the lady pulling into her driveway and plugging the charging cable in. In a recent speech, Joe Biden spoke of all the charging stations along Interstate highways. Let’s think about this a bit. Just how long will it take to recharge electric vehicle batteries, especially if their batteries are nearly exhausted? It takes 10-15 minutes to pull up to a pump, whip out your credit card at the pump, and fill your gas tank. It must take substantially much longer than that to charge your electric cars btteries.
Car and Driver reports: The world is changing, and while gasoline-powered vehicles will continue to roam the streets for decades to come, federal emissions targets and eco-friendly consumers are pushing auto manufacturers to innovate. The result is a rapidly growing number of new electric vehicles. And with new technology comes new designs, new features, and new challenges. So while EVs might be saddled by slow charge times, lower range, and higher curb weights than their gas counterparts, they also deliver instant torque and, in some cases, mind-boggling power. Though our love of the visceral, noise-producing cars of today is not likely to fade, the variety of new EVs brought to market makes it easy to get excited about tomorrow.
Coming back from a Florida Keys trip after passing Key Largo there’s about a 20 mile stretch of US-1 between Key Largo and Florida City and Homestead where there is nothing but a high fence to keep the Alligators off US-1. So as we’re driving south we came upon a little White Tesla on the side of the road. We stopped offering any help we could. The driver said his batteries were dead, and he was waiting on AAA for a tow. We made the trip from Clearwater FL to Key West on a single tank of gas and had 1/8 tank left. Late-model vehicles with today’s advanced transmissions get excellent gas mileage. At 70 MPH the tachometer in our car was at 1200 RPM barely over idle speed. But I have to chuckle at ole Al Roker and Joe’s phone call. Oh yea, America’s Back to the dark ages!
Today’s batteries produce an average 25% less energy than gasoline/diesel engines. And our electric grid is in shambles and is severely overloaded during hot summer with folks cranking the thermostat down. It’s my opinion America’s electric grid is too overloaded to handle millions of charging stations. And even more important, what will it cost to pul into a charging station facility to charge your car up? It certainly will not be FREE. In my opinion, overall battery technology is not advanced far enough to give up on petroleum. But wacko slow Joe and his jolly band of socialists are in charge so whatever they want America is stuck with!
Personally speaking, I watched the Today Show for several decades and was watching on 09/11/01 when terrorists took down the twin towers. I like Al Roker who is obviously still doing good after gastric bypass surgery decades ago. Al is a good guy. I’m sorry to say it’s a shame the rest of NBC and MSNBC totally suck. I turned off the today show over a decade ago and now watch Fox & Friends getting my morning news. ABC, CBS, and especially CNN, along with MSNBC, are misinformation pushers. News is not about the news these days. It’s about political opinion and bashing Republicans and Trump supporters. Lets clean house in 2022-2024 America Vote RED! ❤
Very interesting since Joe Biden is a known longtime known white supremacist, being a past and present associate of the vile ku klux klan.
Biden lie’s like the rug in my garage!
